It’s 45 days to Mardi Gras
Let’s start with the musical selection: Keb Mo’
Blues Man Keb Mo’ headlined at the Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival in October. California Keb lives in Nashville now–hangs with Vince Gill and plays at the Opry–yet he’s a blues man that New Orleans embraces with open arms. I’ve witnessed him move an audience like a revival-tent preacher raises a crowd to its feet.
Take a listen and I dare you to NOT to move to the music.

Now to the topic at hand. Fat Tuesday. February 12th.
On that day, Krewe of Zulu, Krewe of Rex, Krewe of Elks Orleans, and Krewe of Crescent City (one of Pamela Mason’s favorite parades) will roll through uptown New Orleans. Krewe of Argus, Krese of Elks Jefferson and Krewe of Jefferson will roll in Metairie. Krewes of Lyra is in Covington. There’s lots to see.
